Magnolias Adventure Walk: Hi Stewart, Thanks so much for sponsoring a walk with a dog from Richmond Animal League. Magnolia had an amazing time today! Magnolia is a seven year old, tri-color hound who just wants to love and be loved. She was very opposed to getting in my truck, so I had to lift her into the back seat. She was fine with being held that way, but is a tad big for that type of treatment. If her adopter wants to travel with her, that is one thing they will have to work on regularly. The good news is that she is very treat motivated, so training may be easy. Once in the truck, she rode beautifully! She didnt want to put her nose out the window, but did like to watch the scenery. I think she really enjoyed the AC blowing on her. Once we got to Robious Landing Park, Magnolia was able to jump down from her seat and immediately hit the trail. She was eager to see and sniff everything and moved quickly. Her fast paced made it possible for us to cover a lot of ground today. Plus, much to my surprise, Magnolia even did a bit of swimming. I think it was only because it was so hot, but she did seem to enjoy it and I got some great pictures. We encountered a couple of dogs on the trail and Magnolia could not have been happier. She desperately wants to play with other dogs! Magnolia was also enthusiastic about meeting people and just loves attention. Some people may think of her as a senior but she has plenty of pep left in her step and new adventures are just waiting to be had. I cant imagine a family that wouldnt benefit from having her in their lives. Magnolia is available with Richmond Animal League.
