Maintenance Manager and Shops Supervisor for Edwards Moving and Rigging Inc. edwardsmoving Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Manager and Shops Supervisor responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all maintenance activities of a national, specialized transportation and heavy rigging company’s fleet of prime movers, semi-tractors, numerous trailers and other powered and non-powered equipment as well as a large fleet of specialized Goldhofer Hydraulic Platform Trailer (goldhofer.de/gh-en/modular-vehicles/modular-vehicles.php). While ultimately responsible for overseeing the entire work scope of the mechanic shop, the fabrication shop and the warehouse and their respective personnel, the Maintenance Manager and Shops Supervisor is very much “hands on” with the day to day operations and performance of equipment maintenance and fabrication. Qualifications & Requirements: Military requirements: Commissioned Officer, CPT with Key and Developmental time as a FA90 Logistics Officer with a motor maintenance background. Warrant Officer, SFC or MSG with at least 10 combined years field experience in MOS , 915A, 919A, 63A, 63B, 63D, 63H, 63M, 63,S, 63W, 63Y, or 63Z. DS/GS maintenance shop experience with a minimum of two years supervisory experience at the Battalion level. Requires organizational and administration leadership and expertise for effectively managing a team of subordinates. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage time and meet specified deadlines. Must have good leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate team members. Prefer a minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience as diesel mechanic with heavy truck and trailer experience a plus. Two years of supervisory or lead experience is required. Mechanic School Certification preferred. ASE Certification preferred. Should have demonstrated knowledge of transmission, electrical system, diesel engines, brake systems and A/C. Must have knowledge of and experience with hydraulics and hydraulics systems. Duties: •Manages the day-to-day operations of the mechanic shop as well as supervises and coordinates the activities of all maintenance personnel. •Provides the necessary oversight for all regulatory compliance with regards to DOT and FMCSA as well as other regulatory agencies that may be applicable. •Is responsible for ensuring that all Company assets are compliant with annual DOT and other FMCSA inspection requirements. •Diagnoses, tests, analyze and interpret technical data employed in the diagnosis of malfunctions, maintenance, and repair of equipment. •Estimates repair priorities based on equipment demands and availability of parts and personnel. •Directs emergency recovery and repair for all company equipment. •Manages scheduling of periodic maintenance and services. •Directs the establishment and operation of shop supply prescribed load lists for organizational repair and maintenance related items. •Enforces Company safety and fire emergency preparedness plans as directed by the Company’s Safety/Risk Manager. •Prepares and submits daily status reports to corporate management. •Writes and updates internal maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs.) •Ensures readiness of specialized Goldhofer trailer to meet the needs of project requirements and scheduled delivery dates. •Establishes internal procedures to receive, issue, and store tools, parts, publications, and POL products. •Manages shop calibration requirements, oil analysis program and disposal of POL products. •Oversees and develops an aggressive preventative maintenance program for company equipment to ensure their reliability and quality control performance. •Analyzes and interprets technical data employed in the diagnosis of malfunctions. •Estimates repair priorities based on mission, type of work to be performed, and availability of parts and personnel.
