No.: MODBN and Cape Town (X1) MOCT for the position of: MAINTENANCE OFFICER T.A.S.K LEVEL 8 (X6) FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quality, while supporting the policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the RAF. Key Performance Areas § Conduct regular inspections and ensure maintenance is executed in accordance with the maintenance plan. § Receive notification of maintenance requirements via Help Desk and/ or maintenance management system. § Execute repairs as per required or contact appropriate service provider to assist. § Keep Senior Maintenance officer informed all incidents reported and resolved and close call by completing job card. § Execute minor repairs as and when required. § Receive requests for construction of new offices or alterations to existing offices. § Liaise with Space Planner and Senior Maintenance Officer to understand specifications and requirements. § Execute office alterations in accordance with plan. § Plan work for subordinates. § Maintain statistics of performance. Qualifications and Experience § Qualified Artisan. § 5 years in Building maintenance/ facilities management. § Valid driver’s license. Key Competencies § Communication skills. § Service orientated. § Attention to detail. § Computer literacy. § Knowledge of the RAF policies and procedures. Remuneration § A total cost to company of minimum remuneration package applicable to this position is R190 654.00 per annum; and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
