Maintenance Planning Clerk (Ref. MPC 120335) United Manganese of Kalahari (Pty) Ltd (UMK) The incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Engineering and Processing Maintenance Sections, as well as the following: • Work order administration • General office administration • Report writing, and • Maintaining SHE files. Minimum requirements: • A Grade 12 Certificate • A Certificate in office administration • 3-5 years’ relevant experience and maintenance planning within an engineering department • Computer literacy – advanced user of MS Office and running of reports • Must be able to work under pressure, pay full attention to detail and must have the ability to work independently. f relevant legislation • Computer literacy. Occupational Health Practitioner (Ref. OHP120335) United Manganese of Kalahari (Pty) Ltd (UMK) The incumbent will be responsible for providing quality care as laid down by the South African Medical and Dental Council and applicable legislation in the Nursing Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act as amended. Minimum requirements: • A Diploma in General Nursing • Post-graduate qualification in Occupational Health Nursing • Dispensing licence • Driver’s licence • Proof of registration with the South African Nursing Council • At least five years’ working experience in an occupational health environment • Previous mining experience will be advantageous • Good communication skills (verbal and writing), including report writing • Good understanding of Mine Health and Safety Act as amended • Good management skills • Ability to solve work-related problems and manage conflict • Ability to remain calm and collected under pressure • Ability to type and be computer literate • Must be able to work independently. Responsibilities • General duties: •Follow up on and ensure that all abnormalities reported by medical surveillance are investigated and treated • Report to DMR if and when needed •Ensure follow up appointments are done on all fit with restrictions employees • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries, initial first aid for illness and injury incidents • Review and evaluate diagnosis and treatment plans relating to occupational injuries • • Ensure that accidents that may occur are reported immediately; Audits: • Perform regular audits to ensure hygiene, health and safety, and that general housekeeping is kept according to standards • Do walk throughs with the Occupational Medical Health Practitioner. Key performance indicators: • The incumbent will be measured by their SHE standards • Effective communication. Please note that the relevant reference number MUST be quoted on your application.
