Maintenance Position at the UWM Field Station The UWM Field Station’s Maintenance Man of 28 years, Lou Nelson, is retiring at the end of January. We are hiring a replacement. This is a full-time temporary position; the permanent replacement will be a Classified Civil Service position. There may be an opportunity for the temporary worker to become eligible for Civil Service, but that cannot be guaranteed. Pay: up to $15.25 per hour depending on skills and experience. General maintenance, repair, construction, and janitorial work at the 320-acre UWM Field Station in the Town of Saukville, 30 miles north of Milwaukee. Experience with a variety of types of physical labor, and use of common hand and power tools. Work experience in the construction trades is required. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor.
