Major flash flooding (and the highest rainfall peak) looks - TopicsExpress

Major flash flooding (and the highest rainfall peak) looks possible in SOME places in SE QLD late Thu or Fri. But since a lot of the rainfall may come from thunderstorms, itll probably be a case of some areas getting much less than others depending on who happens to be under the heavier ones. As Cam mentioned, a few thunderstorms have the potential to be dangerous in some locations later Thu into Fri. The 1st image is a map showing what one of the models thinks of flash flood potential between Thu and Fri. Much of the reds that were showing up in the ones I posted some days ago were caused by the rainfall peak late Thu/Fri. The 2nd image is the latest model-generated thunderstorm map for Thu. The 3rd image is a tornado ingredients map between Thu and Fri. The 4th image is the latest rainfall forecast map for Fri generated by all the major models and a system run by the BoM (Ken):
