Makalu SUMMIT! CONGRATS WILLIE, MATT, NIMA and PEMBA! We’re thrilled to announce that Willie, Matt Moniz, Nima Kanchha Sherpa and Pemba Sherpa topped out on Makalu at around 04:30 local time! A long long summit push overnight to a soaring 8,463m (27,765ft) with an incredible sunrise reward! They are en route to C2 and we wish them well for a fast and safe descent. GREAT NEWS FOR A DREAM TEAM! Just 5 days after their summit day on Cho Oyu, these guys arrived at Makalu ABC on Thursday 22, to begin their huge 3-day summit push to reach this morning’s summit.
