Make-A-Wish Foundation-RGV with AUDI of San Juan Tees Off With Audi Quattro Cup Golf Tournament June 6, 2014-Club at Cimarron (San Juan, Tx)-The 2014 Audi Quattro Cup Golf Tournament will be held at the Club of Cimaron in Mission, Texas on June 6th with tee times set for 7:30 a.m. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation from the Rio Grande Valley. The Audi Quattro Cup Golf Tournament Series was established in 1991. Fifty-One tournaments with over 6,000 participating amateur golfers were held and organized by German Audi dealers. In 1992 Germany had a total of 70 tournaments and a total of 7 European countries participated with 62 additional tournaments. In 2013 Audi dealers from 52 different countries worldwide organized a total of 965 tournaments and over 100,000 amateur golfers participated. Over 1.4 million golfers took part in one of the Audi quattro Cup tournaments during the last 23 years. The popularity of this tournament continues to grow. Marco Rodriguez with Audi-San Juan is the Chair of the Audi Quattro Cup-RGV for this years 2014 tournament. with Peter Ruiz- Audi San Juan. Ava Sandlin, executive director from the Make-A-Wish Foundation-RGV is pleased and excited with the event. We accept this event and the Make-A-Wish Foundation-RGV is excited to take part with Audi-San Juan for making every wish come true, says Sandlin. Audi of San Juan is excited to team up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation-Rio Grande Valley, says Rodriguez. The winning team of each regional Audi quattro Cup is eligible to participate in the National Final. This award is non transferable. The minimum age is 18 years. The maximum handicap is 36.0 (index) for individual players and a maximum cumulative handicap is 56.0 (index) for the team. Players are required to present their updated proof of their handicap (certified through the individual’s local golf club) to the tournament director. A reduction of an individual’s handicap to the required maximum handicap is not permitted. Golfers will also compete in the following: Winning team of the first gross prize Ladies Longest Drive Men’s Longest Drive Nearest To The Pin Audi of San Juan General Manager, Alfonso Cavazos and his wife, Janet are supporters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Rio Grande Valley.
