Making a Difference in the Community: Movie Night at Ronan Park Certainly Worthy of Two Thumbs Up - Thanks to all who turned out for and attended Movie Night at Ronan Park this earlier this evening, Saturday, September 20, 2014. The event, which was organized by the Friends of Ronan Park and supported by the BPD, specifically officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) and C-11 (Dorchester), was well attended and it certainly looked like the kids had a ball watching How to Train Your Dragon starring Jay Baruchel and Gerard Butler. Thanks to our officers, in addition to watching the movie, the kids had plenty to eat and nobody went home hungry. In fact, thanks to BPD Officers Kenny Grubbs, Tim Golden and Dario Fancelli, anybody who wanted a hot dog, slice of pizza or an ice cream had the choice of one or all three and it appeared everybody had a little bit of everything. Said Vanessa Muskie, the President of the Friends of Ronan Park, “Our organization was founded to promote fun, positive and family friendly events like the one you see here tonight. On every face, you see a smile and that’s what On every face, you see a smile and that’s what makes this park and this evening so special. I’d also like to thank the Boston Police Department for their help and support.”
