Mama Question- My 9.5 week old has been feeding hourly or every other hour for 24 hours (he was going 3-5 hours before) and he has started a new habit...he will nurse, both sides....theyre not empty but almost empty... and then fuss and squeal like hes still starving but wont put his moth to the breast. If I guide his mouth on he will suck for a moment and then unlatch (sometimes forcefully- and yank)... and root for food. If I try holding him up he wobbles and pulls away, pushes off my chest, throws his head around, squeals, and winds up spitting up a lot. i have tried burping him, gripe water, gas drops, and rocking, shushing, singing, patting, rubbing- you name it. He looks soooo sleepy but wont sleep. He seems restless (but- almost never cries). If i make a bottle of expressed milk he gobbles it up and falls asleep. Any ideas? I know its not my supply. This morning I pumped one side after he fed (contentedly) on the other side I got 5.75oz out (and with only 2.5 hours in between feedings). If I pump after he gets the bottle I often get another 1-2 oz per side.
