Mama-post - by Jenn Cohen. Earlier this week we celebrated Blakes first fever! Not a teething fever, but a real, full-blown, fighting-off-a-virus and increasing-my-immunity kind of fever. We did not use any fever-reducing meds. Why? Because the body actually has to get up about 103* to kill the virus, by reducing it with meds actually prolongs the illness and/or will come back again sooner. Yes, he was uncomfortable for a few days. We cuddled and nursed constantly. We got daily adjustments to continue to boost his immunity. We supplemented with homeopathics, Vit D, omega 3 and Elderberry. Plenty of EOs. And you know what? Within 3 days his fever and cough were gone! No other problems. No need for medical intervention. The body needs no interference....
