Man! I was JUST talking about this the other day... This womans story breaks my heart!!! If you want perfection, you better be bringing EXACTLY that to the table! I liked a guy once, and he really liked me... Hell, he had been BEGGING me for a date for 4months at this point (Melanie, youre my dream girl, Ive never been so attracted to someone as I have you... Blah blah, bleh) But never reached that level... Until i finally said, sure, why not... The date was awkward at first, finding yourself transitioning from friends to potentials, not so much on the physical aspect, but more so what we talked about. Still finding the freedom to talk about things (as most would with friends, but not potentials) he started telling me about this girl he was with previously, and why they broke up (not sure how the convo started, but something that was said, sparked it)... His reasoning? Her scars... But he said it in such a way as though it was her fault, like she intentionally put them there and he was turned off by the fact she just didnt do anything about it... I mean, shit they sell creams for stuff like that, right? Dont they? Man it took everything in me to not break down in tears at that very moment... But I held it in... lets just say, he never made it to a 2nd date. No! They dont sell miracle creams for scars this deep! If there was one every war hero would come back looking like brad fkn pit! And just about every plastic surgeon would be out of 50% of their income! No, not all mothers have scars, some have great genetics! Shit, look at Cindy Crawford, her face hasnt made a single fkn wrinkle. Some are lucky, key word, some. Watch what you say people, because some of us have to already live with physical scars, much less walk around with the emotional ones left behind by ignorance and indecency. Rant over.
