Man accused of animal cruelty December 8, 2014 Williamsport Sun-Gazette JERSEY SHORE Jonathan T. Skokowski, 22, of 220 Shady Acres Lane, has been charged with cruelty to animals for allegedly killing another mans cat by stabbing it with a hunting knife, putting the feline in a cardboard box, pouring gasoline on the box and setting it on fire in Nippenose Township on Aug. 24, according to court records. The charge was filed by the local chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Following his arraignment before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley, Skokowski was released on $7,500 bail. The female cat, named Leah, was owned by Jeremy Baney, court records state.
