Man, life is so busy these days. Wyatt has a full schedule, he has therapy daily. PT, OT, Speech, Chiropractic Care, and a few new ones, massage and an infant/toddler specialist starting next week as well as oral motor starting soon hopefully. We are trying to get everything scheduled during school hours so I can still help in my kiddos classes during the day and spend family time after school. This is important to them and me too. We want all 5 of our kids to know how much they are loved and so we are wanting to keep certain things as normal as possible for them. They are so good with Wyatt through everything. I love that Annabell thanks God for already healing Wyatt and Ford asks for specifics like God please help Wyatt eat with his mouth...I love when children pray. And man, what a miracle Wyatt is! God has been revealing to me how intricate the brain is and how much he really is doing inside Wyatt right now. Yesterday we started to notice little things and when I went to bed I said to Brad, didnt Wyatt seem better today? Like on the verge of something big? He agreed. Wyatt was on his belly and we noticed his foot moving and then he actually began to slightly move his left knee. It made me think, that is how we first saw movement in his sleep, now in his sleep he almost rolled over! Today at the chiropractors office while being adjusted he lifted his arm up, stretched it out and then put it back down. She stopped adjusting him and said did you see that?! I sure did! And then last night I noticed him closing his eyes more in his sleep and shutting his mouth randomly. Now today I was working with him and I said Wyatt close your mouth and waited and his mouth went from mostly open to mostly closed! He did it three times with Latoya (Wyatts nurse, who we adore!) witnessing it with me once! He had it closed on and off tonight while sleeping. So he still has a lot to do with mouth control but its a start! I even saw him swallow with his mouth shut one time today and it was without me shutting his mouth to trigger it! There were lots of success today. More hand movement at speech and head movement at OT. He is making so much noise these days and I even saw his top lip flex. I havent seen this yet as his lips will open and close but he hasnt puckered yet, so to see that happen was amazing! Once again small things but they are actually HUGE steps. Keep praying!! God is listening to all your prayers! He has still been throwing up. This is a seemingly cyclical thing. He gags on phlegm which is produced by mouth breathing which then makes him throw-up. So although he is doing better daily his poor tummy and throat probably feel horrible, please continue to pray for the mouth opening and closing properly and for puckering and use of lips. Its all coming! I can feel it! God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good!
