Managed to shoehorn myself into a tight parking spot in Collegetown today. I was quite surprised when I got out of the car that a half dozen students sitting on a porch were applauding me. At first I thought they were making fun of the fact that it took me five points to get into the spot, but then they were giving me the thumbs up and I realized they were genuinely impressed that I could fit my car in the space with only about 18 combined clearance and to be right on the curb. Ya know, back in the old days, we had to park cars with that much clearance on a daily basis..
