Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal could offer Nani, Javier Hernandez or Anderson in exchange for Atletico Madrid defender Miranda, according to El Confidencial. The report suggests that the Red Devils have already planned to offer the Brazilian a four-year deal to join the club this summer. However, there appears to be one stumbling block, with United yet to agree terms with Atletico, who rate the 29-year-old at €30 million. It remains to be seen, however, as to whether the Manchester United hierarchy can strike a deal with the La Liga champions over a move for the defender in the coming weeks. However, is Van Gaal right to be letting go the likes of Nani and Co. in his pursuit of the Atletico ace? Nani, after all, only signed a new deal with the Red Devils last season, so it wont be easy for the new United boss to get rid of him. And, some will argue that Nani is worth keeping anyway. The Portuguese winger has the potential to cause havoc, but just hasnt shown it on a consistent basis over many years. However, with Van Gaal now in charge, perhaps Nani deserves one last chance to prove himself at the the Theatre of Dreams. Javier Hernandez, meanwhile, has seemingly grown increasingly frustrated at Manchester United in recent time, and its never going to be easy for him to replace the likes of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney in the first-team. And, while its clear Atletico Madrid are in need of a striker, there could perhaps be something in this switch. And finally Anderson, who was made an outcast under previous manager David Moyes. Much like Nani, the Brazilian has struggled to prove his consistency at Manchester United over a sustained period of time. But, in truth, is he really good enough for Atletico? Why would the Spanish champions and Champions League finalists want a player who could only sit on the bench at Fiorentina last term? So, perhaps offering Hernandez is the best bet for the new Manchester United boss. Red Devils fans will be sad to see the Mexican leave the club, but Van Gaal must add competition to his back-line. After the departures of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, Miranda - at 29-years of age - could slot nicely into Uniteds back four. It certainly looks set to be a busy summer for all involved at Manchester United, with a number of incomings and outgoings on the horizon.
