Many languages can save mankind. You know the story of the Tower of Babel. The lesson imparted by the confounding of languages at Babel is that one language, one culture, one world mind, one world government, is not at all ultimately good. It makes people vulnerable to tyranny. Hear the much older Sumerian version: Formerly, there was a time when the countries of Šubur, of Hamazi, of Kalam (Sumer) where are spoken so many languages, the country and principality of the divine laws, Uri, the country provided with everything necessary, the country of Martu that rested in security, the entire universe and all the peoples together, rendered homage to Enlil with one single language. However, the Father-Lord, the Father-Prince, the Father-King Enki, [...] the Father-Lord was angry....
