Many many thanks to the Team involved in The Canadian War Heritage Lancaster VeRA..It is now on its way home after a very busy Tour schedule in the UK..the British public taking the aircraft and its crew to their hearts !...it has been a fanatical few weeks since the Canadians came over ...and rightly so I suppose ...(I think almost everyone in the country has seen them on several occasions now..even just flying around ! )...its something that will never happen again..so I can well understand all the frenzy ....I think one of the spin offs from the visit ,is that it has got many more people taking notice of them and the sacrifices of Bomber Command....so that can only be a good thing ..as its seems to have swelled the numbers on many Bomber Command related Facebook pages..to some it will be a temporary visit and interest...and might fade a little now VeRA has returned to Canada.....but hopefully many will have got the bug like the rest of us regarding Bomber Command..and continue their thirst for it .....I hope many do stay interested...as they are the fresh blood that will have the task of keeping Bomber Command memories and sacrifices made by the crews, alive in future years...the next torchbearers.....;-)...:-)
