Many may not know this but I am quite the collector of classic and obscure Grimoires or Black Books of Magic. It started a long time ago and well, very little has quelled the dark fascination I have for this rather obscure form of literature that is rather repulsive and crude and silly at first glance, and while it never really ever loses these particular flavors, it does tend to fascinate one like myself who is interested in the crucial points in Western Culture when Faith, Superstition, Madness and the concepts of Virtues transitioned to the age of Awakening with Science, Reason, Technology and Medicine. They are rather interesting peaks into the minds of men and women at shifts, pushed by Zeitgeist(?), that sought to explore further than what was in their front of their faces. Plus, theyre always WICKED fun to pull out and read again, especially around Halloween Time MUAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!! My Collection so far: The Keys of Solomon (4 editions including Veritable which has three versions) The Lemegeton or Lesser Key of Solomon (2 Editions, including Crowleys Goetia) The Book of Invocations or Calls (The Last Manuscript found in Doctor John Dees Hiding Chest) The Book of the Sacred Magic of AbraMelin the Mage The Grimoire of Armadel The Leyden Papyrus (An Egyptian/Gnostic book of Spells) The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses (An old German Kabbalistic Magical Treatise) The Golden Dawn Cipher Manuscript (Being claimed a continuation of the Rosicrucian Order) The Secrets of Albertus Magnus (Allegedly written by namesake) The Clavis Inferna (Key to Hell) of Saint Cyprian (A recent and much coveted edition to my collection) The Magus (Francis Barretts in-depth study of Occultism and Ritual Magic) Three Books of Occult Philosophy (Agrippas infamous study of the Occult) Aradia (Charles Lelands compilation of selected Romany myths, rituals and spells: Gospel of the Witches) And my latest edition which I have been eating up with Anthropological Delight: The Long Lost Friend (John Holmans Compilation of Pennsylvania Dutch Folk-Remedies, Conjurings, Recipes and Spells, and the first actual American Grimoire) Im a geek, yes. Find and Read at your own risk. (Below is a sample of the Goetia) 3:) https://youtube/watch?v=FLSEjmYvoeU
