Many may think my story is strange, frivolous and just wont understand it but here goes. Before my mom got pregnant with me my mom was an independent beauty consultant for a company called Mar-Jo cosmetics based out of Fort Wayne Indiana. She had earned the use of her own company car as well; however on a rainy night my parents were in a bad accident and mom and 3rd degree burns all over her and her back fractured in 3 places. They told her she would NEVER walk again, let alone have anymore children. Well needless to say my mom being the fighter she is won queen of sales being flat of her back in the hospital, learned to walk again within 6 weeks and when she was given that crown as queen she was very pregnant with me! They told her she would never be able to carry me and I arrived almost a month late and she gained 65.5 pounds during her pregnancy. Mom had a dream that she was having a girl and she named her Nancy Jo after her best friend/recruiter Nancy Eskridge and Jo Roseberry co-founder of the company. At 6 weeks of age I was being fed mashed potatoes by the owners of the company and laid to sleep on Jos mink coat. At 8 months of age we moved to Washington to open moms very own store. We lived there about 3 1/2 years. Mom stopped selling the products after developing allergies to them but I never forgot the origin of my name. Throughout the years I struggled with self identity and just not feeling like I fit in or never feeling pretty but when but when Im in my pink bubble and surrounded by such amazing women I know where God wants me. Since my trip to Dallas I have dreamed every night something about my future in Mary Kay and I couldnt be more excited!! I know in my heart that this is what I was born to do and all the speed bumps that have been thrown in my path were put there to make me stronger!
