Many musicians on Guam experienced the bars closing at 4am. Although, We didnt end approximately at that time. However, if the bill is implemented its important to take advantage of this opportunity. In addition, local musicians should create a conventional approach to entertainment. For example, if 3 bands could commit to 1 set each for 900 plus. Thats 300plus each band occupying the duration from 10pm-4am. Also, another alternative is having a cover charge at the door to survey how many people support local shows. This framework could supplement how we perform and how we use our time. How much time do we rehearse until an actual performance? How can we make a lucrative plan for our band and deviate from the invariable process of gigging every week? How can we avoid being apart of the competition between bars? Its an enduring journey but its important that we start recording our albums, make merchandise and rehearse our power set material showcasing everything we enjoy about music. Our objective should be expressing passion. Overwhelming everyone with 4 sets makes it look like a job. Please dont tell our future generations of guam that music is a job. Its a vocation with passion and self expression. Music is a vigorous skill used to heal emotions and project identity. Its our culture.
