Many of our lower-wage and less educated workers do not understand their employment rights and some may be unfairly treated with no one to turn to. The U Care Centre was thus set up in Nov 2013 to provide low-wage workers with guidance on workplace issues and opportunities to earn a better living. One year on, the U Care Centre pledges to continue to advocate for better pay, better jobs, and better respect for this vulnerable group. Upcoming outreach initiatives include free legal clinics and setting up of more centres in the heartland. Here’s wishing a happy 1st anniversary to NTUC U Care Centre and thank you for showing U Care!
