Many of us appear to be all right in general, but there are still - TopicsExpress

Many of us appear to be all right in general, but there are still some areas in which we are careless and lazy; it is not a matter of sin, but the remnants of our carnal life that tend to make us careless. Carelessness is an insult to the Holy Spirit. We should have no carelessness about us either in the way we worship God, or even in the way we eat and drink. Paul to us born again believers in Jesus… Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?~1 Corinthians 3:16 Jesus said to us… And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.~~John 14:16-18 John writes… You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.~1 John 4:4 We live in a land of distraction ‘stuff’ that seems to occupy a majority of our day. This stuff bombards our minds to where it feels strange to us if we have ‘even’ 1 minute of silence. My prayer is that we ‘God’s kids’ would slow down a bit, be still and spend some quality ‘alone’ time with Jesus in this crazy fast get everything done right now world. Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."~Matthew 15:11 So when we feed on God’s word, let the Holy Spirit speak/whisper ‘truth’ to our hearts, as we spend that alone time with Jesus. It’s a personal relationship with the author of lovecould it be any better than that? Can you imagine God, the Author of everything good that exist, wants to love on us? If most of us can watch an hour of TV, be online, play Golf, hike a mountain, we can spend an hour or more with the Lord through out our day and night. Remember this The ‘Helper’ Holy Spirit is always ministering to us, teaching us, guiding us, encouraging us, reminding and bringing to our remembrance what Jesus has said. When you’re having a bad day the Holy Spirit might whisper in your ear, “Let not your heart be troubled, Jesus has gone to prepare a place for you, and He is coming back for you, and He will never leave you or forsake you”. Those comforting scriptures ‘God’s word’ the Holy Spirit has put deep in our hearts as we have read them. Who do you think whispers in your ears that Jesus Christ came for you, died for your sins on the cross, in Him is eternal life, where there is no more death, sorrow, crying, pain, tears? So be getting a good spiritual dose/food of God’s word everyday. God loves it when we come to Him in faith. Walking in the Spirit is staying close to Jesus ‘our best friend’ all the time. So really what else is there to talk about but Jesus? Yes amen thank you Jesus who has set us free from the darkness to Glory, yes Eternal Glory. Have a great rest of the week! In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. ~~John 1:1, 1:14 & 17
