Many of you are aware of my adamant objection to censorship. This - TopicsExpress

Many of you are aware of my adamant objection to censorship. This was mostly surfaced after the excessive use of censorship force so violently used against me over the past couple of years. Because of the Hitleresque use of it by a certain theater owner it allowed me to experience how devastating, it can be. It cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars, the loss of hundreds of friends, current and future jobs, and nearly my life. There is a theater, that I built and paid for, that I am not even allowed to comment on their fb page, apparently because they are so afraid of the truth and how it will hurt their reputation. Many are aware of, have read, or shared my semi famous anti censorship quote, on freedom of art. Today however I am confronted with an artistic censorship dilemma. Graffiti! It is unquestionably art, and rather good art. I am wondering what your thoughts are regarding it. Is it the vandalism, surprise, placement, semi permanent characteristics, what it stands for, or who paints it? or some combination of the above. For example if Michelangelo gave notice and painted a mural of a naked lady, would that be accepted? Admired even? Possibly a money maker? Now a retired gang related graffiti artist is starting yarn graffiti in NYC. Its beautiful, non permanent, using chain link fence for a canvas. He is getting hassled, the same as the ones using paint. Its causing a dilemma for me because i am a law and order type guy and yet cant stand censorship of any kind. What do you think?
