Many of you have been inquiring about Zoes sister so I have decided to introduce you to her. This is Mia, an Italian Greyhound who I rescued from a puppy mill in Upstate New York. Since I rescued her, she has had her front, right leg amputated and has had 8 other surgeries, including bilateral knee surgeries. Due to her current health problems, I am hoping that she will make it to have her picture taken on Santas lap with Zoe this year. This is what I wrote about Mia on my page. It is difficult to explain to someone who wonders why I chose a broken little soul when there are so many perfect ones out there looking for homes. All animals are special but there is something so humbling about a small creature with a disability that asks for nothing but love and gives it back in multitudes. She never complains about her situation, she just lives with it and loves life. She has a spirit and strength to be envied. And to top it off? I get to fall asleep and wake up next to this precious face every day. What more could a girl ask for?
