MapleLeaks Archived MP of the Month ========================== Peter Kent July 2012This months MP of the Month is Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) MP, Peter Kent. Peter Kent was chosen on the basis of him selling out Canada to foreign oil companies (e.g., China), and pipeline companies (Enbridge Inc). Peter Kent chose to ignore a scathing report out of the United States that criticized Enbridge (see story here). Enbridge has a deplorable track record in terms of spills and accidents - and in terms of how they clean up these spills. US describes Enbridge as Keystone Cops. Enbridge averages between one or two spills a week. And, Harper and his government want to ram through a Enbridge oil pipeline through British Columbia (BC) to transport Alberta oil to Harpers partner and allies: Communist China - who are also buying up Alberta oil resources at an alarming rate which has received tacit approval from Harper and Kent. Pocket change to BC which will not cover the cost of environmental damage, and hundreds of billions to Alberta. Alberta, Harper Government seat of power. Here we have Kent, Environment Minister, ignoring the extremely serious environmental report out of the US regarding Enbridge so that the Government of Harper can ram through the oil pipeline through BC - where the Premier and people of BC are adamantly opposed. All so Kent and Harper can appease their power base in Alberta, and to appease the Chinese oil companies. For this reason, we chose Peter Kent. The most disgraceful and unscrupulous Canadian Federal Environment Minister in Canadian history. https://mapleleaks/
