March 28, 2014 White House Honors AccessCals Nahla Kayali as Champion of Change Founder and Executive Director of Access California Services, Nahla Kayali, will be recognized as a Champion of Change by The White House on Monday March 31, 2014. Nahla Kayali is one of 10 community leaders nationwide to be honored for committing themselves to improving the lives of others in their communities. This is a life-time honor to be recognized by the White House as a Champion of Change in light of Cesar Chavez legacy, serving as a testament that working hard creates change, said Nahla Kayali, Founder and Executive Director of Access California Services. I have dedicated my life and my soul for the humanitarian cause of serving everyone in need, particularly my fellow Arab- and Muslim-American immigrant and refugee communities who have demonstrated the ability to overcome barriers and become contributing citizens. Nahla Kayali Recognized Among Top 100 Women Luminaries in Orange County Nahla Kayali was recognized at the 2014 Women Making a Difference Awards and Afternoon Tea Reception on March 27, 2014. The awards ceremony is hosted annually by California State Senator Lou Correa (34th District) to honor local women who make a positive difference in the community. I thank Senator Lou Correa for this recognition and hope that such an initiative will inspire others to support and recognize nonprofit causes in our community, said Nahla Kayali of Access California Services.
