Mari Black Did anyone listen ? - if so comments please- More and more cases of care orders for children being , obtained - simply on the opinion of an expert . forensic psychiatrist - When Mental health Teams and area psychiatrists , have found NO reason for this draconian measure - They are never called to court - Only a court ordered Expert will do. parents going into these Family courts Sane and half way through being judged - , unable by virtue of the Mental Incapacity Act - to even instruct a solicitor and Absolutely , unable to defend themselves or fight for their children,.. NO -ONE , just No-one - challenges these expert Reports. If you are pregnant and are receiving support from mental Health services - or have post natal ANYTHING - or medical records show , that there has been mental health help, previously ,then Childrens services are not listening to Community psychiatric Nurses or consultants, or relatives who know the parent well - Straight to Care - proceedings. There now seems more pre-emptive races to the court of protection - the moment any hint of mental Health is raised. without any informed ,attempt to assess risk . parents being accused of having No Insight - when in fact , it is ,Childrens Social Workers - LAs Organisations who, have NONE. All Public servants have access to counselling and private treatment - for their own Work- home ,related stress - yet have no idea how to relate ths to their case- work. and the families , who are suffering from similar or identical Strains. Courts have no way of knowing if the organisations or the social workers , Solicitors , involved in care- proceedings - have a medical history of poor mental health. It is not uncommon for youn Inexperienced staff - to be rested on sick -leave after care-proceedings - such is their need to free themselves of all blame and guilt.
