Mark your calendar now! You will not want to miss this years Victorian Holiday Celebration. LOTS of new events are planned - including an expanded 3-day festival. More details will follow as we work to finalizing some of the last minute details. There are several exciting ways that you can become involved - so make plan now. The Festival kicks off this year with a Parade of Lights at 6 PM on Friday, December 5th. Anyone interested is encouraged to join in the parade. You can either enter a float covered with lights, walk with an animal or pet draped with lights, or just join by walking and carrying a lighted lantern. The parade will begin at the Sharon Springs School parking lot. This event will be followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony in front of the MBT Bank/Post Office and refreshments served afterwards. There will be a Spectacular Gingerbread House Contest this year with a $100 prize to the winner. You can enter by bringing your Gingerbread House to the Roseboro Ballroom before 10 AM on Saturday, December 6th. Another new event will be the Festival of Trees. Businesses, organizations, or individuals who would like to decorate a tree for the Festival are encouraged to join in on the fun. The Festival of Trees will be on display in the Roseboro Ballroom and the proceeds will be donated the the Rescue Squad to purchase a new gurney. A tree will be provided (either a real tree or an artificial pre-lit tree). All you have to do is decorate it. Please e-mail ron@roseboro for more details. Space is filling up fast, so contact us now! Saturday and Sunday will be filled with all sorts of shopping, entertainment, wonderful holiday vendors, seminars and presentations - and of course the regular favorites, The Christmas Chicken of Sharon Springs and the annual Victorian Costume Contest. You will not want to miss the Festival this year! Come dressed in your Victorian finest!
