Mason County Sheriffs Posse Conducts Training Using Project Life Saver The rain was the only hitch experienced by the Sheriffs Posse as it conducted its semi-annual training on June 1, 2014. Sundays training consisted of two scenarios involving missing persons. The difference was the use of Project Life Saver incorporated into one of the scenarios. The search was for a missing person who had been equipped with the Project Life Saver wristband. It took the Posse only 20 minutes to locate the search subject. The missing person was located on the back side of a levee approximately 1 mile from the point of origin. Sheriff Paul Gann, who conducts the training, attributes the quick location of the search target to the capabilities of the Posse and the use of Project Life Saver. Posse member Josh Lynn has been certified in the use of the special equipment used by Project Life Saver and is able to direct the other riders in their search patterns. Training was conducted on property owned by Ronnie and Jarod Lynn with the assistance of 3 volunteer missing persons. Andrea Gann assisted her dad in planning and setting up the scenarios. Current Posse members are: Terry Allen, Mike Case, Candy Gann, Camryn Gann, Alan Hill, Frank Lynn, Josh Lynn, Kathy Micetich, Tom Micetich, Walt Moyer, and John Pilkington. Sheriff Gann encourages anyone who has a family member who may become easily lost and/or disorientated to contact the Mason County Sheriffs Office for information about the Project Life Saver Program.
