Match report: BFA Nationally Sanctioned Tournament Location: Badgers Hill, Evesham Hosted by: Water Orton Wonderdogs Date: 19th and 20th April Typhoons and Gales cause the Perfect Storm!!!! The Cotswold Club unleashed an amazing 7 full teams on a raid in to the Midlands Flyball Scene at this large tournament near Evesham, they came away with 2 Firsts, 2 Seconds, 2 Thirds and a Fourth, a fanatstic achievement for this young, growing club. The Typhoons set the pace on Saturday by winning all their 6 matches in an expanded division 8 to take 1st, the team of Cerys, Reuben, Rona, Dillan excelled for the second tournament running. The Gales followed this up on Sunday by wining all their 5 matches, not dropping a single leg, to create a perfect score and a fabulous 1st place in the Novice Division. Poppet running in her first competion was highly impressive and was ably supported by Lexie and Jasper with young dog Darragh also impressing in his second competition. The Sundowners took a creditable 2nd in division 9 especiially as veteran dog Kelli was harrassed by an opposing teams dog during a run and had to retire. The clubs top team, the Cylones, had a mixed day, running very fast times but a degree of inconsistency and a judging decision saw them take 3rd place in division 4 when 1st or 2nd was on the cards. In Division 8 the Zephyrs achieved a very hard fought 2nd place winning a 3 way tie becasue of their fastest time, very rapid Lurcher Boo overcoming a knock to complete the day and see the team through after an injury ruled out Mist. The Scirroccos competing with sister team the Mistrals in division 7 came out on top taking 3rd place over their siblings 4th, thanks to a win in the Head to Head match.
