Materials Advisor Location: Saudi Arabia Job Description: Responsibilities include but not limited to: •Initiate requisitions for the materials to be procured as required for the projects and complete the necessary documents as required by the applicable procedures. •Coordinate with the concerned Materials Supply personnel to place purchase orders and ensure that appropriate materials as per specifications are ordered for delivery by the required date. •Coordinate with Standardization Group and vendor representative to determine appropriate materials are ordered. •Initiate necessary forms to ensure cataloging of materials. •Coordinate with Project Engineers (PE) to create all necessary project or plant maintenance Work Orders (WO), which are required to execute the project. •Coordinate with PE to verify the article check in order to ensure that all required materials are received. •Ensure that all materials have been accounted for and close all purchase orders. •Coordinate and ensure that all identified recommended spare parts if any are submitted to Standardization for cataloging. •Work directly with line supervisory personnel in assigned department and with appropriate Materials Supply personnel to help resolve immediate and short-term materials acquisition problems. •Assists in preparation of materials portion of annual budgets •Develop all material related required reports including the preparation of materials usage reports for use in cost control and summaries of delivery status. Advise management on spare parts/operation supplies usage. Desired Profile: •Degree in Materials Management or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university. •More than 10 years of full-time experience including field experience in materials management, planning, scheduling, ordering, receipt and storing/warehousing of materials preferably in refining, petrochemical and manufacturing environment. •Material Management •Good speaking and writing command in English •Material Handling •Planning and Organising Skills
