Matt is finally out!! Yup. It is official!! After 5 weeks and 1 day of full time hospital fun-ness (its a word ok?!) he was discharged this afternoon on no medication and feeling pretty good about it!! He had weekend leave over the last couple of days and we had a lovely sunny weekend in coffs harbour. We went out to brekkie (which he walked to and from and sat for about an hour!) and then to church last night and stood for all of the songs! He has weekly medical appointments for a while and twice weekly physio sessions at the hospital...hydro and general physio. He is walking on his own quite well but needs to sit down quite regularly and take it easy! He is still pretty tired after any activity but is really good at knowing when he needs a rest etc which he takes most afternoons. And he is back on a full diet and normal fluids so even though he is under (strict (and probably very annoying)) supervision he is pretty well back to normal there too! He has lost nearly 20kgs all up!! So we had to do a little shopping this afternoon to buy a few sets of things that dont literally fall down whenever he stands up! There will be no driving for a few months and all these regular appointments will keep us busy but it looks like God has looked after some financial prayers in terms of work and I will let you all know when its good and official! Thank you sincerely to every single person who has loved us, supported us, prayed for and with us and just been a whole bunch of awesome through these crazy weeks!! Not one single nice thing has gone unnoticed and even if I have not got the chance to tell you personally that I am grateful, please be assured that we both are and could not have gotten through this time without you :) Ill leave any future posts to matt now as he is out in the real world and can handle his own facebooking! so....fb bombarding can start...NOW! :)
