Short Description : The Indian Army is going to admit 60 students for training in Engineering Branches under 24th Pre-Final Year University Entry Scheme. Detail Description : Unmarried male students, who are studying in Pre-final year in Engineering Degree (B.E / B.Tech.) Course in Civil / Architecture / Building Construction Technology / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Mechanical / Industrial / Industrial Engineering & Management / Automobile / Workshop Technology / Production / Manufacturing / Metallurgical / Metallurgy & Explosives / Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation / Micro Electronics & Microwave / Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Satellite Communication / Food Technology / Biotechnology / Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Technology / Information Technology / Aeronautical / Avionics / Aerospace Engineering of any recognised University / Institution are eligible to apply provided they must have to complete the Degree Course at the time of joining for the Training or must have to submit the proof of completion of Degree Course within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of the Training. Age should have to be between 18 and 24 years that means students should have to born between 02.07.1990 & 01.07.1996. The height of the students should have to be at least 157.5 cms (152.5 cms for the students belonging to North Eastern State of India & Hill areas like Assam and 155.5 cms for the students belonging to Lakshadweep) with correlated weight as per the age. Distant vision (corrected) should have to be at least 6/6 in better eye & 6/18 in worse eye, Myopia should not be more than -3.5 including astigmatism. Students should not have colour / night blindness. Mode of Selection : Students will be shortlisted by DG recruiting Army HQ for Services Selection Board for interviews. The duration of SSB interviews is 5 days. The selection procedure will comprise of 2 stages. Stage-I will consist of Psychologically Test including Intelligence Test. Qualified students in the Stage - I Test, will be put through Stage-II Test which will consist of Group Tests & Interview. Qualified students in Stage-II Test will have to undergo Medical Examination. Successful students will be placed in order of merit. The Merit List will be notified at the reception of Recruiting Directorate, Integrated HQ of MoD (Army), West Block - III, R. K. Puram, New Delhi – 110 066 in the last week of May 2015. Students, who do not figure in the Merit List of Pre-final Year University Entry Scheme, may be offered SSC (Tech) for which fresh merit list will be drawn after merging the merit list with the merit list of SSC (Tech). Pre-final year students will be called in the year of their completion of Degree Course after being medically fit at that time. Selected students will be admitted for Pre-commissioned Training at Indian Military Academy, Derhadun for a period of 12-months’. The expenses of the Training will be borne by Government. During this Training period, students will get a stipend of Rs.21,000/- p.m. On successful completion of the Training, they will be commissioned to the post of ‘Lieutenant’ in the Scale of Pay of Rs.15,600/- - 39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- & MSP of Rs.6,000/-. Students, who are appearing in SSB interview for the first time, will be reimbursed AC III Tier to & fro Railway / Bus fair. The white coloured envelope containing the duly filled in application should have to be superscribed in red ink as ‘APPLICATIONS FOR 24 UES ENTRY-ENGINEERING’S’.
