Matthew 6:14-15- For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. 1 John 1:9- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Unforgiveness is not something we want to hold on to no matter what; it is a sin and seperates us from God. If we dont forgive, God wont forgive us. I dont know about you, but we need to live to please the Father. If we are harboring unforgiveness against someone, the consequences for it is not worth holding on to it. God wont forgive you until you repent; and the Devil has just gained an avenue into your life; because unforgiveness is a sin. Ephesians 4:27, instructs us to give no place to the Devil! Those very people that you have this unforgiveness against, God wants you to be a witness and a testimony to them if you are His; because He loves them just as He loves you and wants them to become His children also if they are unrepented. As long as you hold on to it , you keep yourself in bondage to it and cannot freely serve God and others because of it. Regardless of how you think they might respond, you need to forgive them and also forgive yourself!
