May 2nd 2014: 1st Friday at DNA Music DNA Music unveils a newly installed Pipe Organ, an art gallery and releases new music by Sarnia musician Jim Chevalier. By David Miner May 15th 2014 The Pipe Organ Locally owned recording studio, DNA Music, is one of Canada’s largest recording studios. On May 2nd during the downtown Sarnia’s “First Friday” event, DNA will open its doors to showcase it’s Pipe Organ, which was acquired through the St. John’s in the Wilderness Anglican Church. From 5pm until 9pm several organists will demonstrate the instrument including St. John’s own Susan Halliday, veteran Rock Organist George Webber and renowned Pipe Organist Foster Hill. Art Showcase DNA Music will also be introducing the Downtown to its new gallery wall featuring artwork by the studio owner Adam Miner, as well as photography by Natali Bravo, Sam Pickard, Stef Smalls and other artists. New Music by Jim Chevalier At 9pm that same evening there will be an invitation only celebration of Jim Chevalier’s latest release, a five-song recording produced by Adam Miner. It includes performances by many of Sarnia’s finest musicians, featured in the “Start All Over Again” video posted to youtube. First Friday DNA Music is excited to participate in the monthly First Friday Arts and Culture tour. Studio owner Adam Miner has participated in the arts in the downtown district since 1995, and in his opinion initiatives such as First Friday, Artwalk and the Judith & Norman ALIX Art Gallery have helped create the right atmosphere to allow the downtown to grow.
