May allah bless the imaam.of my masjid. Even in the land of tawheed, where many of the imams are restricted [1] from openly supplicating against israel and jews and etc. My imaam since i was a kid has always supplicated against them. Yesterday he included noori al maliki and bashar al asaad by name. The govt even restricts the imams from praying for the mujahideen fearing that the people might consider them legitimite and revolt. This is also one of the reasons why, ever since the last time usa gave permission to wage jihad against russia, no fighting group has till date been recognized as mujahideen by the islamic states or scholars who are on the govt bodies. Not even one ! And the next time we get to see any legit muj group would be when usa grants permission again. Until then everybody is a kharjee (oprah style) [1] For those who insist that the govt does not control or restrict any movement or speech of scholars then the moment they think they have refuted and can take a deep breathe, another question arises for them : if the govt does not restrict so that means a huge chunk of scholars now consider it haraam to supplicate against the enemies.of.allah. even supplicate let alone speak against the foreign policy? Ps : go and see the qunoot of haramayn prolly 10 years back and see it now .
