May i post some announcements or messages here? I apologize if my post beyond anyones concern however, i intend to post this since there is no other site to publish. Thank you.. To all the participating team and officials of basketball boys and girls of different public schools(secondary) in the district VI of Negros Occidental, may i respectfully send this announcement and guidelines.. GUIDELINES FOR BASKETBALL (M&W) TOURNAMENT SECONDARY LEVEL DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AREA MEET November 06-08, 2014 A. TEAM COMPOSITION A.1 A team shall be composed of 12 players maximum. All are allowed to play. A.2 A team shall only have one official coach who can sit on the bench and particulars must keep distance from it. A.3 A team must have a representative in the table officials. B. TEAM UNIFORM B.1 A team must be in uniform and numbered from 4-15 inclusively. A uniform printed by any number that is out of this bracket shall not be considered. B.2 Upper uniform only is considered. B.3 A team which don’t have even upper shall be charged technical. Two free throws plus ball possession shall be awarded to the opponent team which has. B.4 If in case both team are failure to wear the required uniform, no technical shall be charged and likewise awards are forfeited. C. TOURNAMENT FORMAT & RULES C.1 Boys and girls category will use single elimination or knock out game format. C.2 In case of a vie in the first draw lot, a vie must play for the first round and inhibit to join the second draw lot if the battle for championship has given an account. This case usually happen in the uneven numbers of team participating like 3, 5, 7 or 9 all in all. C.3 FIBA 2008 Rules shall be in effect in this tournament. D. SANCTIONS D.1 Players slapped with Two (2) Technical or unsportsmanlike fouls or a combination of both will be disqualified for that particular game. D.2 Other sanctions lie on the executions of the tournament officials. E. PETITION E.1 Petition should be put into writing. Verbal cannot be regarded. E.2 Written petition shall be entertained before and after the game. E.3 Petitioner should be the official coach of the team and shall hand in personally the petition to the tournament committee. F. GAME TIME IS FORFEITURE TIME F.1 A Team will loss by forfeiture if the table Official (the Timer) signals to start the game and the team cannot field-in (5) players ready to play. F.2 A team will loss by forfeiture or charge technical if the team failure to arrive 15 minutes after the schedule time depending on reasons behind for the delay. Further announcement....to the officials who are willing to play for the friendship game, you may bring your sports attire and play.
