Maybe Mayor Ed Lee couldnt hear the homeless mothers and children at his office door and thats why he didnt come out. We seemed to be loud enough to where the cops came over and threatened us with arrest if we didnt shut up. We were just there to ask him to give homeless mothers and children housing for Mothers Day... and how he would feel if his mother was homeless and the City refused to provide the basic necessity of shelter. (BTW... there is a 6+ month waiting list to get into a family shelter... just the SHELTER! For mothers, children, and babies!) He didnt open the door last year either. Maybe he wasnt up for having to look into the faces of those he is hurting and it was easier to hide in his office. Shameful. I gotta say... the acoustics are superb in City Hall for when youve got a group of folks yelling. The sound carries throughout the building!
