Maybe its because I grew-up in a small town where no one wore shoes in the summer, maybe its because later on in life it was determined by the cosmos that I belonged at the beach, or perhaps its because of the neuropathy that my feet just feel better sans footwear. I hate wearing shoes! So its no stretch to picture me sitting here every morning, enjoying my cup of coffee in just my underwear. Okay, maybe that wasnt nice, especially if you havent eaten yet. How about me enjoying a cup of coffee with a tee shirt and a pair of shorts? But still barefoot. Is that an okay compromise? Its been a while since weve had puppies running around and I forgot how much they like to nibble - chew - on things. Like bare feet - - - OUCH! Puppy teeth are not as cute puppy breath. But I can guarantee you that they are much more memorable when youre not wearing shoes. And since I refused to cave into their behavior and put something on my feet, I now have dozens of tiny puncture marks in my toes and tops of my feet. You should know that I got out of bed at 7:05 this morning and immediately poured a cup of coffee and sat down here to write this; it is now 8:51 and Im just finishing this post. Yep, I certainly did forget how much fun it is... By the way, my coffee is ice cold. Heres wishing everyone a day where we remember to be very careful when were searching for puppy accidents in the house without anything on our feet (yep, I did step in it).
