Maybe theres something Im missing but this seems to stem from not being initially picked for Team Canada by his GM. But he was eventually picked thanks to Steven Stamkoss injury but still, thats not good enough? Its not as if this was Kazakhstan. I mean I know hes a proud guy but look at all the talent that Canada has to offer. So what if he wasnt picked first? And I seem to remember that before he went to Tampa Bay, St. Louis was drifting as a soon-to-be career minor-leaguer. Tampa made his career and he still has the audacity to throw them under the bus? He certainly had my sympathy when his mother died. But unlike him, I had a chance to say goodbye to my mother so I felt even more for him when he didnt have that chance. But enough already! Youre in the Finals now so just move on! Once, he was a class-act. Now, Martin St. Louis just makes himself look like a buffoon. It really is unfortunate.
