Maybe this is just me getting my hopes up, but when I see rebar, I dream of concrete. And I dream of a concrete interstate from Byram to I-20. How awesome that would be and 3 lanes..whoo hoo!! For those of us in Hinds, we feel the effects of that good ol yazoo clay everyday and it seems the only thing that can hold it back is good ol concrete. And I would imagine its way more expensive than asphalt. And maybe roadbed technology has improved to where you CAN roll out asphalt over clay if you dig it out enough.
