Maybe we should all be self-hating, if self-hating means questioning and scrutinizing our governments and faiths (and whatever other communities we belong to) and rejecting the tropes they preach and actions they commit that perpetuate supremacism, exceptionalism, xenophobia, entitlement, and moral superiority. Maybe we all need to be self-hating humans if thats the only way for us to address our misguided beliefs and confront our human flaws. Id really like to think were not trapped in our own condition, at the mercy of our primal settings, cursed by our primitive instincts, unable to evolve, eternally stagnating and perpetually stunted...
