Mayra Herrera Bristow Hello! I need tips, help, advice? I have a 5 yo with Down Syndrome who REFUSES to be potty trained. We have had him in white undies all week long, putting him on every 15 minutes, but no real progress. He really doesnt talk, and he will not communicate in any way if he needs to go. If he happens to pee in the toilet we really celebrate him and reward him. But he just as easily pees all over himself off of the toilet and it doesnt seem to bother him. He also absolutely refuses to poo in the toilet. He will literally hold it until we take him off and 5 minutes later poo all over himself (and not seem to mind). Any tips? Preschool is coming up in September and he needs to be potty trained by then. Not even having him watch his little brother or see his daycare classmates seems to work. Help!
