Media release: FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION ON HIGHWAY 11, 2014-01-20 (ENGLEHART, ON) Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving an automobile and a tractor trailer unit which occurred at approximately 1:51 p.m. on January 20, 2014. The head on collision occurred on Highway 11, Evanturel Township. The north bound Chevrolet Impala met up with a south bound tractor trailer unit. Driver of the automobile, Peter PACE 64 years of New Liskeard succumbed to his injuries. Driver of the tractor trailer unit, 28-year-old Scarborough man is not injured. Both vehicles involved did not carry passengers. The Englehart Ambulance and Fire Department attended the scene. The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with this collision. Highway #11 is closed in both directions as the investigation into the collision continues. Further details will be released once they become available.
