Medical Missionary Diary Snippets 14 July 2014 In life, sometimes ‘the most difficult situation is when you have to choose to stop and leave everything behind, or to continue and try harder.’ In our case, we chose both. Leaving our family and friends behind again and to stop seeing them for awhile was another sad experience we had to go through as we went back to the mission field to continue what we had started with a new Spirit to try a little harder in the service of the Lord. It’s been a month today since we left Sydney after a short but whole some holiday. We initially planned to stay for a week in Townsville to attend the conference Big Camp, but we had to cut it short as we left earlier to be in Palm Island. Unfortunately, we are no longer sponsored or financially supported by any organizations due to funding and management issues, but we have still decided to continue the work independently with confidence that God is with us and will supply all our needs. Our goal is to find work here so we can support the ministry, but I have to wait for 2-3 months until we get their response. For a month now we’ve just been waiting and at the same time continuing our free volunteer community work such as friendship and children’s ministry, home church program, Rehab facility health and relationship seminars and adopt a street/house yard clean up for our operation clean up project. All these require funding to obtain materials and equipment. Any monetary donations are greatly appreciated. We will be coming back to Sydney next month to raise some funds while also waiting for my job appointments. Our first visitors Mrs. Taenny Cha (Cristina’s boss) and her son Minno just left last weekend back to Sydney after spending 2 days and nights with us. What an amazing experience they had that made her realized how God’s work is an eye opener. She was very inspired to make her relationship right with God again. Coming from a converted Christian background, she was born and raised in South Korea, and is now currently living in Sydney with her husband and two kids. They are doing very well with their post office business. During her visit she realized and expressed “God has provided me with everything I wanted in life but while in prosperity, I started to ignore His presence and eventually forgot about Him in my life.” This is what our ministry is all about, helping people acknowledge God and recognize that Jesus is all they need in this life. Jesus said, “if I be lifted up (exalted or glorified), I will draw all men (man, woman and children) unto me” (John 12:32). May we exalt God in all our ways of living, so He will draw all men unto Him” as promised. This is my challenge and prayer for you all.
