Medical Update from Jodi on Johnny 9/26/14 Hi all, Shanah Tova! I wanted to give you a quick update on Jonny, and also share with you the attached video. Daniel sent it to me and asked that I share it with all of you. Jonny had skin grafts done in several places on his body on Monday. They grafted his right ankle, left arm, and I think around his left ear. They also used the surgery as an opportunity to really clean out his ear. The procedure left him bedridden for a day (as is expected), but already on Tuesday he was up and about in his hospital wing! I spoke with him today, and he said that he has begun to feel the new wound, where they took the skin from. Generally, my impression is that hes uncomfortable at the moment. But, hopefully this will improve quickly. On Sunday, they will check the grafts to see if they took. Once they know that, theyll figure out the next step. He has also been in touch with the person who pulled him from his car, which I gather has been emotional but also therapeutic for Jonny. Lastly, Jonny now has his cell phone back!
