Meet Gill. He was adopted 10yrs ago as a puppy and they suddenly decided they no longer want him because he is old. He is a lab/pit mix (Pitador) and deserves much better then this. PLEASE SHARE IN HOPES OF FINDING HIM THE PERFECT LOVING FOREVER HOME. Comment below or PM me if interested. A letter from The volunteer that helped in getting Gill returned::: When Gil’s family advised the rescue that they wanted to return him, I was the volunteer who picked him up as they lived relatively close to them. I brought Gil to my house for 3 days and he did wonderfully. I have 2 Labs of my own, I foster 1-2 dogs at a time and also board dogs in my home. He did beautifully with all the dogs, and was a perfect gentleman. He is perfectly housebroken. He is crate trained but I’m not sure he really needs to be in a crate. If I didn’t have the number of dogs in my house that I do, I would have continued to keep him in my home. The family initially gave the reason for return as “it was just time”, then it was “we just moved into a new home and don’t have much of a back yard for him because we have a pool” (a CAD check shows they moved into the home 4 years ago), then it was “we travel too much”, then it was “my son is allergic to him”. Personally, I don’t believe any of the reasons except for the first one. It was stipulated that we pick him up on a certain day because they were leaving on vacation the next morning. Gil is a GREAT dog, he causes no issues, he is a gentleman who just wants to be loved. He is great in the house (although I was told they had him sleep outside on the patio; he slept quietly on my bedroom floor). He is a big dog and a lot of dog; he’s not fat, just big-boned; a gentle giant. Gil has now been living in a boarding facility for over 2-3 months and he needs, and deserves, a home. I personally thank you in advance for reading this and considering him. I am available to speak to anyone who might be interested in giving this senior citizen a loving quality home for his twilight years.
