Meet Shahid Khan, 12 years old studies in grade 2. Shahid sells pop corns in winters and now that summers have started he sells ice cream( commonly known as kulfi khoay wali). He told me that when he reaches home, he changes, eats lunch and his pushcart is ready for him. He is the sole owner of his pushcart while his dad has another pushcart. He goes out of his house at 3:00 p.m. comes home at 8 p.m. When I asked him how much he earns he innocently replied Jo kuch kamata ami ko de deta. ( whatever he earns gives it to his mom) He also added that he completes his homework when he comes home and then eats dinner. On asking about his future he said, doctor banun ga. (I want to be a doctor) Why? Kyun k wo zakhmi ki elaaj karte tu sawab milta. ( because they take care of the wounded and get blessings)
