Meet Tim, who is preparing to run the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon and claim a medal! Age: 33 | Lives: London | Occupation: Web Editor Running history: Started running eight years ago and managed to keep running, despite being diagnosed with MS in 2008; has also lost an impressive 12 stone since taking up running Marathon goal: To finish and get a medal Loves…writing about sports and running Tim says: “I got into running about eight years ago as a way of getting fit and shedding a few pounds. I have always had problems with my weight and I found that jogging really helped me stay healthy. I have run eight half-marathons but never made the step up to full distance and I’m extremely excited about taking on this challenge. I was diagnosed with MS in 2008 and have always seen running as a way to stick two fingers up at the disease. However, it would be fair to say I have fallen out of love with the sport on a number of occasions in the past (usually coinciding with a hefty rise on the scales) but I always return to it, and what better motivation than taking part in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2015?” Follow Tim on Twitter: @Timmyfb Read Tims blog here:
